Spend a unique and exhilarating day exploring Lough Lein and Laune River by kayak, with a qualified guide.
Following the shoreline of ancient oak woods, paddle across the sparkling waters of Lough Lein, down the gently winding Laune River, past ruined castles, to the white water rapids at Beaufort Bridge.
This full day river kayak trip takes you through woodland and green countryside, overlooked by the MacGillycuddy Reeks. Learn kayak techniques for the occasional section of rapids you will encounter. Relax on grassy river banks and even take a swim in the fresh mountain water!

Kayak Skills - Level 2 Proficiency
Become A Self Sufficient & Safe Kayaker
Kayak Skills is a two day kayaking course on the Lakes of Killarney, Kerry; or Kinvara Bay, Galway.
Over the two days you will learn the kayak strokes, techniques and rescues needed to kayak safely, plus have an introduction to more advanced techniques.
At the end of this course you will be a competent flat water kayaker and a self sufficient paddler, as part of a group.
You will also have achieved Level 2 Proficiency, which is certified by Canoeing Ireland.

White Water Kayaking - Level 3 Proficiency
Learn The Skills & Techniques To Paddle White Water Rivers
White Water Kayaking is a two day kayaking course on Kerry rivers.
Over the two days you will learn the kayak strokes and techniques to paddle on fast flowing rivers, as part of a group.
You will have an introduction to river rescues, defensive swimming and use of throw ropes.
At the end of this course you will have a solid introduction to river kayaking and white water skills, plus have an understanding of safety awareness and river hazards. This course is the first step in moving from Level 2 Proficiency to Level 3 Proficiency, which is certified by Canoeing Ireland.
