Learn To Rock Climb & Abseil

Learn To Rock Climb is a two day climbing course, in the Gap of Dunloe, Kerry; or the Burren, near Galway.

Over the two days you will climb and abseil, learn climbing techniques, rope work, knots and belaying.

At the end of this course you will be able to rock climb and abseil competently, use climbing equipment, belay and tie knots. You will be able to use indoor climbing walls or climb outdoors with more experienced climbers.

Tackle Sea Cliff Climbing & Learn To Set Up Rock Climbs

Improve Your Climbing is a two day climbing course, in the Gap of Dunloe and Dingle, Kerry; or the Burren, near Galway.

Over the two days you will climb and abseil, focus on climbing techniques, use different methods of belaying and learn to set up a top rope climbing system.

At the end of this course you will be able to tackle more challenging climbs, have a greater understanding of climbing techniques, use climbing equipment, set up a top rope climbing system and use climbing calls.

From Learner To Lead Climber In Six Days

Learn To Lead Climb is a six day climbing course, in the Gap of Dunloe and Dingle, Kerry; or the Burren, near Galway.

Over the six days, which will be spread over blocks this winter, you will climb and abseil, focus on climbing techniques and communication, use different methods of belaying, use a range of climbing equipment, learn to place gear, set up a climb and lead climb.

At the end of this course you will be able to use a guide book, lead climb while placing gear, set up a climb, plus second a climb and remove gear. You will also know what equipment is necessary to be a self sufficient lead climber.

Learning to place gear safely; such as wires, hexes and friends; is a long apprentice style journey, which generally is done under the careful supervision of a more experienced climbing partner. This element of lead climbing in specific cannot be rushed, and while you will be a lead climber at the end of our intensive course; safe gear placement will be a learning journey that will continue long after your climbing course.
