There are three different types of Canoeing:

River Kayaking
Sea Kayaking
Open Canoeing

River Kayaking
Light, manoeuvrable kayaks; originally designed by the Eskimos. Completely enclosed apart from a circular cockpit which you sit into. Ideal for exploring lakes and paddling down rivers.

Sea Kayaking
Long, graceful kayaks; originally designed by the Eskimos. Completely enclosed apart from a circular cockpit which you sit into. Ideal for exploring our spectacular coastline, paddling long distances and expeditions.

Open Canoeing
Stable, versatile boats, which are completely open and can be paddled by two people. Originally designed by the North American Indians for travelling and hunting. Ideal for exploring lakes and rivers and also for expeditions.
