Getting A Fire Going From Spark & Birch Bark
Took a little while to get this fire going; a lot of dampness in the tinder. You should get a sense however of the step by step process of getting a fire from spark to healthy.

In order of fuels it was birch bark; old mans beard moss mixed with lumps of pine sap; some sappy pine fatwood; damp fionnan grass; then three grades of dry twigs – from match thickness, to pencil thickness, to thumb thickness. This was shaped up into a teepee lay.
